Make no mistake, yesterday was a tad tiresome for these two
old stagers, but we woke to a beautifully warm sunny day which helped to bring
us around from our jet lag.
As we keep saying, this is no holiday, and to remind you of
what our ‘life in another location’ partly consists of, the first tasks were us
getting ‘tour worthy’. Harry needs water, fuel and gas, we need food, beer and
wine, so an aire, Repsol garage and Lidl ticks all those boxes, Harry cost 90
euros, we cost 65 euros (2 weeks food & booze). By 2pm we had done 100
miles to our overnight aire just outside Valencia.
It was getting a little uncomfortable in the van with the
sun beating down and temperatures hitting the mid 20’s, so after our favourite
lunch of cheese, pate and wine we headed into town before the thunderstorm
struck. Not a great deal of rain but plenty of thunder and lightning. It all
settled down by 7pm so let’s see what tomorrow brings……
